Fossils by the Sea is our bespoke 2024 Advent Countdown that is inspired by the amateur paleontologist, Mary Anning. Anning lived in the 1800's, searching for fossils along the Jurassic Coast every morning when the tides went out and uncovered new fossils. Join Yarnaceous Fibers as we explore the stunning scenery of the Jurassic Coast with Fossils by the Sea.  

Mood boards and imagery are all of various aspects of the Jurassic Coast and bring forth images of stunning blue waters, gorgeous green vegetation, sandy beaches, and glorious sunrises (and sunsets!) in variegated colorways. Colorways will be random throughout box; however, due to the nature of the inspiration can be rearranged to be in a fade.

Each countdown includes 24 20 gram mini skeins and one 100 gram full skein in Fingering Weight yarn, a new crochet shawl pattern by Rachel Black, a new knit shawl pattern by Mary Hunt, a themed bag by Beautiful Syster, and themed extras. All items will be wrapped individually with recyclable packaging and ribbons, and labeled for each day you are meant to open them. 

Option to add on extra full skeins for larger projects (colorwork sweater, blanket, etc) will reopen in October for any last minute decisions and email will be sent to those who purchase.
